Strewth ("we", "our" or "us") operates the Strewth website, Strewth slackbot / app, and other Strewth services. When you access these services you may be providing us with personally identifiable information ("Personal information"). This policy describes our policies and procedures with regards to how we collect, store, use and disclose this information.
We don't collect any user information from Slack directly. We capture and the name of the user you enter when scoring, but that text could be anything (like 'fish'). We do not capture any information that could be tied directly to your slack account such as IDs, email addresses, etc.
Slack team information
We do collect your slack team name and team ID when you connect Strewth to your Slack account. This allows us to identify your team with the things that you're scoring. It's basically the whole app. We don't share that information anywhere.
Where do you share my information?
Right now, nowhere. Only to present it back to you via the Slack command we wrote.
That said, this is an evolving app. As such, we may need to collect more information as our feature set expands. But if that is the case we will update this document and put a big fat notice on our website. At any rate, our goal is to take as little information as possible. No-one likes it when apps take too much information. We promise to act responsibly and keep you all informed.
Is this secure?
It's as secure as we know how to make it. All communication is encrypted by SSL and we use best efforts to guarantee that no-one can do anything nefarious. We constantly audit the process and work to keep all the information contained in the system secure.
That said, we cannot guarantee the security of the application or the data stored in it at all. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time. There are a lot of reasons. If you have concerns, reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I delete my information or get a copy?
Sure! Reach out at email@example.com.
I have questions / concerns / need advice!
Don't delay! Reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org. We're happy to help.
